How Can You Increase Your Focus Immediately?

So many times I hear people complaining about their lack of focus. There are tons of techniques to help you with that, and today we will talk about a very simple but extremely effective one. You can start applying it immediately.

In a few words we could say: first play, then work.

Isn’t it the opposite of what you’ve always been told?

I am not saying you shouldn’t work hard, but there is a little trick that will help you make better use of your time. It will remove distractions and increase your focus.

When I was in middle school, I remember one day in which my studying speed increased by a lot. Contrary to what most people say, it was when I received my first phone.

During my study session I wasn’t allowed to check it, but I knew some of my friends would be looking to contact me. So what happened? I would be much more focused and finish my homework a lot quicker than I used to, because I had something to look forward to.

As I grew up, I didn’t always apply it as it wasn’t something I was doing consciously, but now I know how effective it is!

So how does it work?

At Genius in 21 Days we call this techniques the ‘TV Series Technique’.

When you organise your study sessions, start by setting a reward at the end of the session. A small thing that you will allow yourself once you are done. It could be a TV series episode, a sweet treat, a nice meal out, a walk in the park, anything that will keep your mind alert, by giving you something to look forward to.

You will notice your attention increasing immediately, and the nice thing is that the reward can change daily according to what you desire that day!

So my question for you is: what will your reward be today?
